A Caricature is either a portrait that exaggerates or distorts the essence of a person or thing to create an easily identifiable visual likeness, or in literature, a description of a person using exaggeration of some characteristics and oversimplification of others.

Caricatures can be insulting or complimentary and can serve a political purpose or be drawn solely for entertainment value.

Water based cartoon character

A sample design for one of the major characters for an animated children's sci-fi cartoon concept.
The artwork was to showcase the water-based nature of this cute and bubbley extra-terrestrial. The character was able to alter her shapewith the fluidity that comes with being made of water as well as being able to manipulate large and small Quantities of H2O She was to be part of a team of childlike superheroes, she and her fellow team members had abilities relating to Water, Earth, Air and Possibly Fire.

One of many incarnations of the antagonists in a childrens cartoon venture. The characters (baddies) were supposed to function as a collective (similar in nature to Startrek's 'the Borg' but cuter ) assimilating data and technology while denying it to others. The circle within circle design is to allow the baddies to pop out various neferious extentions (similar to a Swiss army knife) to perform their evil deeds.
