I started a joke which started the whole world crying....

But I didn't see that the joke was on me oh no I started to cry which started the whole world laughing...but seriously folks the Angels and Glyphs imagery (above) for the Metal Band Pathosira started as a pisstake piece of 'filler' art while waiting for further instructions .... Oh If I'd only seen that the joke was on me....as luck or talent would have it after adding the Magikal Glyph, 'Panarchy' Logo and altering the colour scheme it looks pretty sweet.

I originally created a faux playlist of covers that Pathosira were to perform on a fictitious concept album mapping the story arc of one man's new and blossoming relationship (whether it was indeed with an angelic being or its just a metaphor is up to the individual metalhead) plus the line "I just wanna be a woman" sung in a deathmetal growl should be worth the price of admission alone

The Outer Gods are ruled by Azathoth, the "Blind Idiot God", who holds court at the center of infinity. Encircled by his flopping horde of mindless ünder-gods and gibbering amorphous dancers rhythmically moshing in cadence to the monotonous piping of a demonic flute. When this dark and elder pantheon grow tired of Barry Manilow, their oldest of playthings, as indeed they do, they turn to PathOsirA -
It is understand PathOsirA was inspired to perform their distinctive turn of note upon hearing a highland mating ritual involving an indignant, asthmatic pig within the fogbound moors near Aberdeen in a time before our own. Unfortunately, the band has never equaled the purity of sound achieved by that creature.
Among the Outer Gods often present at PathOsirA's set are the cabal of thus labeled "Ultimate Gods" and on occasion Shub-Niggurath, the "Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young".
Yog-Sothoth, the "All-in-One and One-in-All", co-rules with Azathoth and exists as the incarnation of time in the cosmos, yet is somehow locked outside this mundane universe of ours.
Nyarlathotep, the "Crawling Chaos", is the avatar of the Outer Gods, existing as the incarnation of space and functions as an intermediary between the deities of the pantheon and their cults. The only Outer God to have a true personality, Nyarlathotep possesses a malign intellect and reveals a mocking contempt for his masters.

Created in Adobe Photoshop back in 2002 A.D. as a personal folio piece...then the imagery got an upgrade while creating filler art the Pathosira Website in 2018/19 AD.
Design Notes : The character's name is a pun on the herb 'Angelica Archangelica' that is quite sweet and its roots are used medicinally.

The question as to whether female angels exist has never been specifically addressed in biblical texts ( and I don't really care ), Angels are by definition neither male nor female in a human sense, they are a separate order of beings entirely. Still, when biblical writers try to describe angelic appearances, they consistently used masculine pronouns and male attributes. However, in Zechariah 5:9, the priest / scribe notes that two winged females take a woman named "wickedness" away to Babylonia in a measuring basket. Whilst contextually speaking "wickedness" is (hopefully) an 'anthropomorphic personification' rather than an actual individual (if she was, I know I dated her once), the two creatures transporting her, having wings "like those of a stork" are functioning in a typically angelic way, and are clearly described as female. In Jewish occult lore, female angels are rare (the Shekinah, 'the liberating Angel' is one). In Gnostic lore there is, pre-eminently, the revered Pistis Sophia, a great female aeon / archon, or angel. In Arabic legend, female angels are not uncommon and were often objects of worship or veneration; they were called "benad hasche", translated as Daughters of God.
